Voices of WIN 2011
Hayrettin Kağnıcı, Chairman of the Association of Machine Tools Industrialists and Businessmen (TİAD)
Following the severe global crisis, expectations from the events that will gather the sector together in 2011 have increased. The strategic significance of industrialization, continuous development and the machinery sector is clear. Exhibitions are important platforms where companies and delegates from the sector come together. The WIN events, which are organized in two phases, serve as important platforms for the sector. I believe that WIN events will be a major contribution to our developing country and the sector within this period. International initiatives have been concluded within the 1st phase, including the cooperation arranged with EEPC India to designate India as the partner country and to secure the attendance of 170 Indian participants. These initiatives supported the development of a strong relationship between the two countries. I believe that this event will bring many advantages to both the sector and the country in the long term. We have attended the 1st phase of the WIN exhibition for the last three years through our media organ, which monitors the sector and provides the latest information on particular production technologies of the sector, and during the event we offered TT MAGAZİN to the participants and visitors. In 2011, TİAD Academy also had the opportunity to meet the professionals of the sector under this platform, and the trainers, along with the brochures we handed out, introduced the practical and quality professional and technical trainings that are conducted under the umbrella of TİAD. High quality professional and technical trainings are of great importance in achieving 2023 targets; therefore, I was pleased to make the presentation titled 'Future of the Machine Tools Sector and the Importance of Technical Training' at the 'Future Projections of the Machine Production Industry- 3: 2011 and After' conference which was held during the 1st phase of the 2011 WIN event. I wish WIN events continued success.
Hakan Uludoğan, Head of Foreign Sales, Durmazlar Makine San ve Tic A.Ş.
The Win fairs comprise a range of industrial sectors and constitute an important organisation in particular for the machine-building industry which plays a strategic role in the development of our country. It is at the same time the most interesting part for our company. The fact that this event also succeeded in attracting customers from the Eurasia region offers newly export-oriented companies a good business opportunity.
Halil KIRLI, President, Manisa Chamber of Metal Processing Crafts and Small Traders
On behalf of the Management Board of our chamber and personally I should like to thank the management staff of Hannover Messe International for its support lend to members of the Chamber of Metal Processing Crafts and Small Traders Manisa in connection with the Fair on Joining, Welding and Cutting Technologies held from 3 to 6 February 2011. We wish you a continuation of your success.
Ann-Catrin Rehermann, German Power Transmission Engineering and Fluid Power Associations VDMA
Turkey is the most important market for the German industry in the Eurasian market. Over the years, business relationship between Turkish and German companies improved, and we know about a lot of fruitful co-operations. Within only one year the exports from German products of power transmission engineering and fluid power to Turkey are again on the same level as before the worldwide economic crisis. For us, WIN World of Industry is the most important trade fair in the Eurasian region for creating good business and long-lasting relationships and we're very pleased to come back next year.
Sam Lei, Dinkle Enterprise Co., Ltd. , Sales Manager, Taiwan

Serdar Tekyıldız, General Manager, Yıldız Gaz Armatürleri San. Tic. A.Ş.
WIN World of Industry 2012 fair held in February is one of the most important exhibitions of its kind in our business sector. For our company, Yıldız Gaz Armatürleri, the event ended with a very positive note just like in pervious years. The strong interest we have seen from both domestic and foreign visitors is cause for satisfaction and offered us the opportunity to present our innovations to a wide audience. We should like to thank all those who contributed to the fair's organisation and wish you a continuation of your success in the coming years.
Electrical Installation Engineers Association (ETMD)
As the Association of Electrical Installation Engineers (ETMD), we support the Electrotech segment of the WIN event. Initially staged as a single phase, the event was recently divided into two phases due to the heavy demand and interest that it attracted. The Electrotech segment is now included in the second phase of the WIN event and has even been extended as a result of the substantial amount of interest shown to it by companies. Technological innovations in our sector have been shared with persons and corporations operating in this area. We cooperated strongly with Hannover Messe and contributed to the event by organizing panels, seminars and conferences. Moreover, we put forth a great deal of effort to ensure that companies and engineers from Istanbul attended the event; an accomplishment that we are very proud to have succeeded in carrying out. In the future, we plan to increase our contribution to the event and to improve its overall success. We believe that the WIN event has significantly contributed and will continue to significantly contribute to the improvement of our sector. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Hannover Messe and Bileşim A.Ş for organizing the event.

We are happy to be here at WIN – World of Industry Part 1. We welcomed a lot of visitors and exhibitors at our pavilion not only from Turkey, from different countries such as Bulgaria, Iran and Syria as well. This influenced and pleasantly surprised our Indian companies, because they were expecting mainly visitors from Turkish market. The exhibitors got good responses from Turkish and foreign visitors. In aspect of business deals, some joint venture and business agreements happened.
Aykut Kocabey, Ekonomik Araştırma ve Belge Servisi Memuru, Kocaeli Ticaret Odası
Istanbul fairs in Istanbul Beylikdüzü were always a source of stress for visitors from outside the city. Will our members reach the event in time? Will we waste too much time on the road? This was always a concern to us. And then there was the problem of coordination between the travel agency and the event organisers to keep the entry time. I deliberately use the past tense because with the logistic support of Hannover Messe all we had to do was bring our members to the point of departure. After a smooth journey in a comfortable coach your members arrived in time and could fully enjoy the events at the fair. We thank Hannover Messe for its support in ensuring a productive fair.
Mesan Kilit
As Mesan Kilit, we attend 15-20 exhibitions worldwide every year. We have successfully concluded the WIN 2012 event, which is the only event we attend in Turkey. Our expectations from WIN Events are meeting new customers and providing a meeting point for our current customers and vendors. We offered our new Electronic Locks to the visitors at the exhibition. We would like to thank Hannover Messe Bileşim Fuarcılık and its employees that organized WIN 2012 successfully.

WIN was again popular for German manufacturers. The exhibitors requested larger stands, but there were no empty spaces left. It shows how much the fair is in demand. 30% of exhibitors in German Pavilion participated at the fair for the first time. All exhibitors were really in good mood and happy to see more visitors at their stands compared to last year. We are glad to hear that through the opening of two new halls next year, the capacity will increase. As a result of this new arrangement, we hope the fair will have a very clear hall structure.
